Job Description

People & Culture – The HR Leader is responsible for helping develop our team and a high-performing/entrepreneurial culture while promoting and maintaining a safe, compliant, globally diverse and inclusive work environment. The HR Leader will be accountable for human resources management and support of Perrone Aerospace’s hourly and salaried employees at our combined HQ and manufacturing location in Fultonville, NY, and other administrative and support employees located throughout the world. Managing a blend of internal & external resources, the Human Resource Leader will deliver winning results across the following key People dimensions of our business:

5. Policy development, deployment, & enforcement

6. Employee Engagement

7. HR Administration

Essential Functions

· Compliance

o Monitors/helps manage & drive Health, Safety, & Environmental compliance, including reporting requirements and generating recommendations for corrective actions

o Monitors/helps manage & drive compliance with state and federal employment laws, and company policy (e.g., ADA, equal employment opportunity, diversity, fair labor standards, Affirmative Action Plan), including reporting requirements and generating recommendations for corrective action

· Talent acquisition, development, & retention (incl Performance Management)

o Works with external and internal partners to meet the business staffing needs, including development and maintenance of key talent pipeline relationships with local universities, trade schools, recruiting firms and staffing agencies

o Posting positions, screening candidates, coordination of selection/offer letters and onboarding processes

o Provides orientation to new employees & annual updates to current employees regarding ongoing policy development & required compliance

o Oversees People Development Program, including maintenance of job description catalog, developing career paths & associated training regimen with input and support of other functional and business unit leaders, and 3rd party services providers

o Oversees Performance Management & Strategic Talent Review process, including 360 degree feedback

o Conducts exit interviews and makes recommendations based on trends or notable comments

· Manages compensation and benefits

o Ensure company compensation and benefits are market competitive & aligned to organization’s near & long-term goals (i.e., budget & vision)

o Manages relationships with third party benefit providers, ensuring value for employees/company & healthy competition for company spend

o Develops and manages compensation bands/skill codes, grading, & market based wage assessments/benchmarking

o Manages payroll, workers compensation, disability benefits, employee leaves and absence management processes & documentation, & variable compensation scheme/metrics

· Employee Engagement

o Lead by example & help drive our “Ways of Working”

o Develop, deploy, & follow-up periodic Employee Engagement surveys & events (e.g., family picnics, bring your son/daughter to work day, etc)

o Drive Community Engagement activity, incl. charitable activities, in support of the communities where Perrone operates

o Facilitates employee relations issues as needed

o Provides coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees

· HR Administration & Policy Development, Deployment & Enforcement

o Responsible for maintaining human resources documentation and records management, including employee information such as, but not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations, and termination information

o Conducts investigations, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and violation of company policies.

o Prepares witness documentation and testifies at unemployment hearings. Advises management on legal/policy compliance

o Maintains & keeps current the Employee Handbook, adapting as required to meet needs of the company, regulatory & market environment
